There isn't much of a story but I am 24 years old, was born in New York City, grew up in upstate New York, and am now living in New York City again. I went to college at RPI in Troy, NY. I started playing the drums in middle school, and soon after began making beats with my computer. Since then I've continued to work on at computer music production, and recently began doing some mash-up remixes. My first project was Jaydiohead, which mixed Jay-Z and Radiohead, and people responded well to it. You can check it out at
www.jaydiohead.com. I have done a few more remix projects since that. 2_Did you get in touch with Mos Def and The Beastie Boys before publishing your mixtapes? I've never had any contact with Mos Def. My Beastie Boys project came about because Adrock from the Beastie Boys contacted me and asked if I was interested in doing a remix version of their "Check Your Head" album, which I was. This project became known as "Doublecheck Your Head"
http://www.doublecheckyourhead.com/ 3_What's your favorite part of New-York City? Walking around, or just sitting on a stoop or a park bench. I enjoy that, its entertaining and free. In addition I see a decent amount of live music. I'm close to Webster Hall and they usually get acts that I'm interested in hearing. Also playing softball. 4_Are you also interested in films made in New-York? I love seeing a good movie, though I'm not much of a film buff. I am familiar with some of the New York directors, but not thoroughly. Of course I know Scorsese, he has made some of my favorite films. I've never been to the Tribeca Film Festival. I don't have any excuses though, there are several theaters near me that were showing movies from the Festival. One thing I will say is its way too expensive to see a movie in New York. $12.50 or more. And if its in 3D its like $17.50. I really can't afford that to be honest, and if I do go, I'm definitely sneaking in my own candy. 5_Top 5 Movies? Without thinking about it too much, I like Terminator 2, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, City of God, and "Moon". I just saw Inception which was pretty good too. 6_If you have to keep only one record ... wich ones would it be ? I couldn't choose. Maybe a Beethoven symphony or something orchestral. 7_Could you tell us a word about your future projects? Sure, right now I'm working on a follow-up to Mos Dub. Its a sequel of sorts, and will be done in early September! Be sure to check out my Facebook page at
